Oh, hey! It was scallop girl! Sparkle wasn't exactly interested in her like that, but she seemed like pleasant enough company, and he could admit that he hadn't really expected this evening to hook him up with all guys.

"Hello, Canada," Anna laughed. "I don't know what we call Canada, in Arendelle. Once I find out, that's your new name. Anyway, Arendelle's a prettier name than Norway."

She was biased, of course.

"It does roll off the tongue better," Sparkle allowed, laughing. "You know, like, I don't think we ever did do the whole proper introduction thing? So it's either going to be Norway or your actual name, which is... Anna? Is that what the guy said?"

Way less ridiculous than some of the names he might have guessed, otherwise.

"Anna," she agreed with a smile. "Only he said it a bit Ann-a and it's really more Ah-na. What with me being Norway-an and all."

Look, most people wouldn't guess to put an "eg-" syllable in there.

"Did they say your name is Sparkle?" she said. "Wait, is that a nickname? I've never met someone called Sparkle before. Is that a Canadan name?"

Or an "i-", apparently.

"Norwegian. And Canadian," Sparkle corrected, grinning. "And nah, you'd have a hard time finding another person with that name, but that is mine. My mom thought it'd be cool, I guess. It's like, after one of those little fireworks? On the stick? You Arendellians have those?"

He had no idea, whatever.

"Fireworks in your hand?!" Anna clapped her hands together excitedly. "I'd heard such a thing was possible but I've never seen it. Isn't that dangerous?"

And if not, could he tell her how to get one? A firework! In her hands!!!!

"I don't know..." Sparkle smirked and reached into his back pocket, pulling out a couple of sparklers. "Want to find out?"

He was kind of shameless when he got an excuse to burn things.

"Do you mean it?" Anna was now vibrating in her seat as she reached out to take one of the sticks. "Wait, how do you hold it? Is my hand going to get burned? Is this safe to do here? If it isn't, can we do it anyway?"

"Hold it at the bottom at the bare part," Sparkle shared, "and keep it away from, like, paper and stuff that'll go up in flames easily. But we're gonna do it anyway, because what the hell, the night's almost over, if we burn down the bar, at least we have four dates behind us. Ready?"

He smirked at her shamelessly, holding out his lighter and lighting both of their sparklers just as the timer went off.

"Make a wish, girl. Maybe on the next round, it'll come true."

Anna jumped when her sparkler lit up. WAIT IT WAS CRACKLING? THIS HAD TO BE DANGEROUS. THEY WERE GOING TO BURN THE BUILDING DOWN.

It was so unbelievably beautiful. A little tiny firework going off in her hands. She thought suddenly of Elsa, with her fractals and snowflakes, and felt a tiny pang of jealousy that she couldn't do any kind of interesting magic.

Then again, magic had not exactly been kind to Elsa.

Make a wish? A wish. The one that flickered through her mind was sudden: true love.

Of course, she already had true love, back home waiting for her, so maybe her wish just meant that she hoped everything would work out with herself and Hans, that they'd be married many, many years and be happy together. That had to be it.

As she watched the sparks fly from her tiny little firework, she managed to pry her eyes away from it long enough to look up at Sparkle.

"Thank you."
