Anna, of course, had to offer Carmilla a curtsy before sitting down.

"No, I haven't," she said warmly. "My last date already has a girlfriend? But I kissed him at a bottle-spinning party. I think we were all just crazy that week. That's my excuse, anyway."

Anna's conversations did not need to follow things like 'logical coherence.'

Carmilla smirked. "That was an interesting week, wasn't it?" she said. "Who'd you enjoy kissing the most at that party?"

Which was Carmilla's oh-so-subtle way of finding out if it was a boy or a girl.

Anna straightened up and tapped a fingertip against her lips, trying to decide.

"Is it awful if I don't know?" she confessed with a laugh. "Johnny was so suave, and Minako so bubbly. Edward smelled wonderful, and I didn't realize how soft Kira was going to seem. Oh, goodness, that sounds shameless said out loud like that."

... so ... possibly she was just as confusedly bisexual as her sister!?

"I haven't had many kisses," she added. "I've enjoyed all of them."

Confusedly bisexual was good. Carmilla had caused enough of that in her past, after all.

"I like shameless," she laughed. "If you don't know or say what you like, how can you expect someone else to know how to make you happy?"

See, that was exactly the kind of happy rationalization that made her think kissing parties were a-okay in the first place.

"Oh, I didn't ask!" Anna said brightly. "Who was your favorite, to kiss? Is this scandalous, to be talking like this?"

Anna wasn't sure she cared. She was starting to think that 'scandalous' was a code word for 'enjoying yourself more than other people thought was okay.'

"Maybe a little," Carmilla said, "but I like scandalous, too."

She wrinkled her nose a bit. "There was one boy, and those are not to my taste, but I would enjoy kissing Kathy, Amy, or Alana again. They were nice. I think I'd have to kiss them all again to decide which was my favorite."

Such a hardship.

"That makes it sound like we should have another kissing party," Anna said, her cheeks turning bright red. "Just so we can evaluate the best kissers in Fandom. Rank them on a scale. You don't like kissing boys?"

Anna hadn't noticed much of a distinction, between kissing girls and boys. Girls were softer and smelled sweeter; boys had broader shoulders and smelled more like musk. Both had shivery lips.

Anna also had not spent more than five seconds ever considering her own sexuality, so there was that.
