Natalie's plans with her parents visiting Brazil had gotten delayed, so last night she'd taken advantage of a portal deal back to fandom, in the hopes of meeting some friends and maybe flagging Jim down for a visit too

Sam's trip to the island had been one of pleasure. He'd taught there a semester ago and had realized what he'd loved about being there so he was trying to visit more.
Of course, waking up this morning, he had no memory of that. In fact, he had no memory of anything. All he knew was that he was seeing a lot of different colors when he happened across people.
Pushing into the Perk was no different. The girl in there was comprised of nice, soothing warm tones so he felt comfortable, at least. Still didn't feel great but he wasn't scared.
"I can guess, but no, I can't feel what you're feeling," Natalie replied, shaking her head. But only a little. Guess she wasn't big on obvious gestures. "Just my own feelings."
But she also couldn't see any colours, so she wasn't hugely surprised.
Sam took a seat across from her albeit slowly. He didn't really know what to do from there so he settled one hand on the table and tapped his fingers a few times idly.
Natalie went back to shifting through the things in front of her. There wasn't much, just a few cards with the same ufamiliar name on them, some American and Canadian currency, a random futuristic-looking key card.
"I don't either," Sam told her, shaking his head even as he peered down at it. "I don't have anything like that in my wallet. A few pictures of people I don't recognize, some money and my license. That's it."
"Don't be too sad," she drawled. "Having a lot is exactly as useless."
But she picked up the wallet again, just to go through it one more time, for anything else. And she found something: a folded up photograph. When she smoothed it out it turned out to be of a young man. Handsome, smirking, with striking blue eyes.
Natalie shrugged, almost a little helplessly. "I don't think I look old enough to be married, but nothing has a birthdate on it, and I do have an ID that says I'm someone's chief of staff."
Which seemed like an adult position to be in.
"Could be a boyfriend, could be a brother, could be the target of an assassination, for all I know."

He was also maybe staring a bit.

Because she didn't need to read his feelings to know he had to be more freaked out than she was, in certain respects.

Even if it meant some things escaping her.

No, she didn't recognize him, either.

"I could be."
Not knowing who the hell she was sucked.

"I didn't say I think I am one," she said. "But it's one of a thousand possibilities. And you have to admit the chief of staff thing seems odd."
