Oh, Éponine wasn't doing this; this sort of thing was for people with more self-esteem than she had, which was to say anyone with a scrap of it. So no, she wasn't participating. She hadn't even been planning on being at the bar, but when she spotted Cosette walking in?

She had to stick around just to see what happened.

Soooooooooo, there she was slouched in a seat at the end of the bar with a cap pulled down low over her eyes, nursing a drink and watching.

Just watching. No reason. Couldn't a girl be curious?

For the first time, Jessica was really choosing to be here. She had just spent an entire freaking day studying the floor plans for the Roxxon Building in Manhattan. After that, honestly, she needed a drink and some socialization.

Right now, she was taking care of the drink. It was non-alcoholic, though.

Joker was at the bar early. He hadn't known how long it would take him to walk down, so he left a comfortable amount of breathing time, just in case. He waved to people as they came in, and was really enjoying the fact that the no-carding policy let him look cool nursing a beer.

Well, that got a triple-take. First, because of Cade himself. After two rounds of people she knew, Kathy had almost expected the whole evening to go that way. And then because there was some weird voice...asking if she was a rabbit?
And then one last time because what did kark mean?

Okay, no. Through context clues, she could figure it out. But it was just an unexpected word to hear.

"Uhh...hi?" she said, standing awkwardly by the empty chair. "I'm Kathy."
