It was really not a good idea for Alec to be out today. The last two times he'd gone out, after all, he'd wound up injured. He did not really want to go for a third here.

Jace, of course, had been following Alec around ever since he spotted him while patrolling. He could tell Alec had used glamours this time around even though Jace himself could see through them, so he was especially interested to see where he was going.

Alec really needed to work on his ability to notice creepy stalkers lurking in the background.

Because as it was, he was totally absorbed in his task of kneeling in front of a trunk full of weapons with his back to Jace, searching for a dagger to bring back to Sparkle. Crossbow, crossbow... oh, gremlin repellent, he'd have to remember that. And -- there. A dagger. He slipped it into the inside pocket of his jacket, then turned his attention back to searching for other things that might be useful.

Jace wasn't surprised by what Alec was doing. He was actually a bit disappointed that he hadn't thought about clearing out that cache himself. Oh well, he could just grab something now. He made his way down towards the altar slowly, running his hands along the pews as he walked.

"Stocking up?"

Crap. Jace again.

Alec stood up slowly, not letting go of the bow he'd most recently grabbed. Last time he hadn't been armed; today he was, and he wasn't about to waste that advantage.

"I figured it couldn't hurt," he said carefully, making sure to keep the weapon pointed at Jace. "I would've thought you'd've done this already, though."
