Matt arrived looking as fancy as he could in a secondhand suit and tie. It was no tuxedo but for a guy from Hell's kitchen it was about as fancy as he would get.

If it made him feel any better, Stacey was used to guys deciding a tie made whatever they were wearing formal, so she was not going to be judging.

"This is a... interesting theme," she said.

"You'll have to tell me about it," Matt replied though he was wondering why there were shapes of fake floating men hanging from the ceiling. "Though it smells like someone has a fog machine or something going on.

Remember this night with a special keepsake: You and your date on Mars! The space helmet is optional.

Punch + Pie puppywithatutu March 30 2012, 10:53:44 UTC
Someone thought more people would come if there was untainted (for now) punch and pie. Both in fountain form for your viewing and eating pleasure. Pie crusts come in both sugared triangles and conical forms. Non-believers will have to make do with the variety of moddable snacks.

Oh, duh, of course Kate was spending a portion of her night hovering around the food and drink tables. It was only tradition!

Plus she was kind of depending on herself and her brother for food at home right now. It was nice to get some for free without any effort required.

Even with the doppelganger around it didn't take Luke long to find Kate. "Hey! You look beautiful."

Always a good opening with Kate. "Thank you," she smirked, right before launching in for a hug. "Hiii, Luke!"

With any luck, intervention won't be required, but the old people have to have somewhere to go for punch and pie!

'Teacher' was one of those words that had always struck Alistair as a bit too adult for his liking.

'Chaperone', as it turned out, was another one.

So while he might have been around in the chaperone... area, he could be spotted sneaking out from time to time to eat. A lot.

Sarah wasn't much of a chaperone. Honestly, she was mostly here for the free food, and because she'd happened to find a nice dress, which she was wearing with a short black jacket on top, not to get to festive.

Mostly, she drank punch and waited for it to get spiked.

Adding to the list of people who probably should not be listed as a chaperone (and teacher for that matter) was Jamie Madrox. Who was there. And there. And over there. And probably over there and...

You get the idea.

Brave the mist and your partner's ability not to miss the floor and hit your toes, then mod up some awesome tunes.

There was at least one person braving the mist. Actually he was one but several. And dancing in a line to Latin music.

"EVERYBODY CONGA!"

Somebody stop him before they start singing "Cuban Pete."

"No!" someone called out.

That someone was Scott.
