There'd come a point in Natalie's day-long career as a fast food server when she just didn't want to take it anymore. So, she'd swapped her uniform for some heels and weather-inappropriately skimpy clothes, and she'd grabbed her guitar, and now she was here.
Looking way, way confident. And maybe a little like there should have been a wind machine blowing at her.

As if Gabrielle would turn down tea. She'd developed quite the taste for it while in India.
She wasn't really sure what she was auditioning for, but she'd told Jono she wanted to get more involved in the arts on the island, so here she was. Drinking tea, and psyching herself up mentally.
One or both of the directors will provide feedback! You may start with either your monologue or your song. If you need a monologue or a song, one will be provided for you!
[And as much as you can give us to work with, please! The more detail you provide, the better sense we have of your character's skill, talent, and range. :D ]

"Good! And it's great to be here," Petra said. "So, I'll be singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" from every Liverpool game ever Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel today."
Petra pulled herself up, took a deep breath, and began to sing.
"When you walk through a storm Keep your chin up high And don't be afraid of the dark. At the end of the storm Is a golden sky And the sweet silver song of a lark."
Her voice was a slightly husky contralto, steady, strong, and with great feeling and confidence.
"Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown. Walk on, walk on With hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone, You'll never walk alone."
And then she waited for the judges' directors' reaction.
Re: Speak to the DirectorswasthecuteoneJanuary 12 2012, 17:00:56 UTC
After her audition, Petra stopped by the directors' table and told Troy, "I also wanted to let you guys know that if you need any help with the costuming stuff, I'm your girl; I'm pretty handy with a needle and thread...glue gun, bedazzler, whatever. I mean I did it unofficially at the holiday thing, but. Plus I have like five boas I'm willing to loan to the cause." Loan. She wanted them back, people.

Well, obviously, because boas. "That would be awesome, Petra!" Troy enthused. "We're getting a bunch of stuff donated from 'Dite's, but that'd be a big help in terms of fitting and stuff. You... really want this stuff to fit properly."
And, hey, the offer of boas really did reinforce that she knew the show's content, which was all to the better.
Re: Billy and the TechsselfhelpheroJanuary 13 2012, 01:44:14 UTC
Billy was here now that the post would load, working on lists of things they'd need, and lists of lists. It was kind of brain breaking and kind of awesome at the same time.
apocalipped is at work today, but should be around tonight when she gets home, I believe; I will have a couple of brief periods of SP (including one right now, as I run an errand as soon as this goes up), but a) will ping from my phone if necessary and b) will otherwise be around all day. :D
I love you guys so much I totally spent two hours battling the crappy re-routed bus system in a blizzard to get home and I'm here and pinging before thinking about grabbing blankets and whimpering into a vat of hot chocolate.

...especially when it was entirely pretty girls. But don't tell Sam, she'd probably through a ham at his head.
