Kittens, Hinata was fairly sure, were not supposed to make friends with dust bunnies. Chase them, of course. Pounce, roll, and fling themselves were all par for the course. But, as she knelt down and peered under one of the shelves only to be confronted with her kitten, sleeping, curled up with several dust bunnies and all of them content

It had been a while since Warren had stopped by the Book Haven with a bag of cheeseburgers, hadn't it? And he didn't even have cause for complaint as he did so today, because the staff at Mooby's had been fairly on the ball today. Well, compared to usual, at least. He only had to ask three times before they remembered that there was supposed to be ketchup on those burgers.

"Hey, roomie," he greeted, making certain that the door closed behind him so that Yei wouldn't make a mad getaway with her new best friends. "Surprise lunch attack."

“Warren,” she said, lips curving into a smile. “You’re welcome to be here--so long as lunch does not actually attack...?”

"I don't think it will really attack, unless you go and give it ideas like that," Warren laughed, setting the bag on the counter, and then the drink tray. "I'm not really in the mood to wrestle with ketchup stains, so it would probably be for the best if you didn't, you know?"

At least they were hard-earned ketchup stains.
