Kittens, Hinata was fairly sure, were not supposed to make friends with dust bunnies. Chase them, of course. Pounce, roll, and fling themselves were all par for the course. But, as she knelt down and peered under one of the shelves only to be confronted with her kitten, sleeping, curled up with several dust bunnies and all of them content...
What else was she to call it, but friendship?
Smiling slightly-better to think about her cat and Yei’s unlikely friendship, than about family... which was, due to the holiday, just a bit harder to not dwell on-Hinata got up and went about opening the shop.
