The Beach, Wednesday Morning

With everything involved in getting Fina settled, it had been a little while since Lulu had gone out for any kind of practice -- so, Wednesday morning, she elected to go to the beach and fling around some spells. Which would be why anyone coming up to this particular stretch of beach would have the warning of giant balls fire, ice, and brilliant

Okay, see, it was morning. And morning meant that certain puppies who didn't have classes today were going to inevitably be out on their morning run, sword on their not-so-wee puppy backs for the benefit of the added weight.

And when not-so-wee puppies happened to see people casting what looked suspiciously like some kind of land-based Blizzaga, it was pretty much mandatory that they stop to stare for a few minutes.

"The only elemental spells I can cast are Fire and Blizzard," he shared, blinking at the ice from behind her.

... He didn't have anything else slotted into his sword for that sort of thing.

Lulu turned just enough to smirk, Onion Knight -- by virtue of being linked with Lulu for the castings -- mimicking the movement in his wee little cute way. "I'm a little beyond those," she explained, her eyes dancing. "But then, I've been learning for almost fifteen years."

Zack nodded thoughtfully, managing to successfully hold back an 'eeeee' at the Onion Knight's wee little motions.

"And I've only been working with mine for a little while," he replied. "I mean, I've had them for a while, but my training back home has been mostly with my sword."

He was trying to change that, honest!

Lulu nodded, considering.

"Would you like more training with it?" she asked. She reached down to gather up Onion Knight. "I could help you, if you'd like."

Max had actually been planning to get in some practice time on the beach himself, but he was easily distracted by exploding things. So he ambled in that direction and paused what he hoped was a safe distance away to enjoy the view.

And it wasn't long before the exploding things weren't the view he was appreciating, but... no one would find that surprising.

Lulu brought her last spell -- a mid-level Thundara, for variety -- to an end, and then reached down as Onion Knight jumped back into her arms. "Enjoying the show?" she asked, laughing a bit and waving for him to come a little closer.

"Quite an impressive display," Max allowed as he sauntered toward her.

That was a yes.

"I do my best," Lulu replied, smirking. "And one does try to keep in practice."
