Dinah was there, and stretching, glad to be back. Between holidays and trips home and craziness, it had really been too long.

After hours of trying to get rid of the Santa hat during the morning part of the day, Dimitri had given up.

"Nice to meet you," Beka said as she moved onto the mat. Twasn't because they were going to spar, that she didn't need to be polite.

"And you," Griff nodded, always a little hesitant at the start of a spar, but thinking at least she seemed nice as he got into a ready position on the mat.

Not that seeming nice stopped her from being able to kick someone's ass. There seemed no reason to stall and Beka closed the distance quickly, starting off with a roundhouse kick at Griff's side. Like most first moves, it was more to measure her opponent than aught else.

Karla nodded at Hoshi and gave the other girl a weak smile. "Since it hasn't worked with anything else, wanna see if you can hit the hat off me me while we're sparring?"

"Something that isn't my face!" Karla agreed happily. "I like this plan!"

She was very, very glad that Hoshi had been chosen as her sparring partner. To the best of her knowlege, she hadn't flirted with, bespelled, made out with, or humiliated herself in front of the other girl this week. It was a bonus!
