The York Gallery; Wednesday [ 04/09 ] -- Grand Opening!

Tonight was finally the night. Everything was perfect, and, while perfect wasn't quite good enough for Charlotte, she figured it would just have to do. The gallery quietly seemed to glisten with its newness, its modernity, large opened spaces and smaller, quieter nooks and alcoves. Covered the walls on large, bright canvases were the works of

Eve was so not looking forward to going to her boss and saying "Hey, guess what? I are a boy today!"

So it was a rather awkward-looking boy!Eve that was seeking out Charlotte.

Charlotte was a little confused to look up from where she had been adjusting a plate of cheese and crackers (again. For the fiftieth time in an hour) to see someone she didn't know drift in. She frowned, slightly, although it was mostly in her forehead, before straightening, smoothing out her skirt, and asking, "Um, excuse me? May I help you?"

It held a tone that suggested that there better be a good reason why someone was drifting in early, before even any of her employees had arrived.

One of said employees grinned ruefully. "Don't suppose you've encountered any Fandom weirdness yet, huh?"

Because really, if she had, that'd make explaining this easier.

Nathan was there. He wore a suit since A) he guessed this event wasn't going to be black tie and B) Nathan liked wearing suits.

He looked at the pictures and tried to decide if he liked them.

Charlotte figured she could manage to spare a moment or two from fretting about whether or not they'd run out of watercrest finger sandwiches to sidle up beside a certain gallery observer, lift her eyebrow, and ask, "So. Any thoughts?"

There is a generous and upscale and moddable assortment of snacks and nibbles available for noshing, and punch and bottled water (the fancy kind!) for sipping.

Yay gallery! Up a little early; I have to flee shortly for a trip to the hospital (fiance's off the ventilator, conscious, and doing every well, huzzah!), but will be back later!
