The Perk, Saturday Night

Angel had been reluctant to dance becamse OMG leave Logan in Neptune. But he did want to see his friends as well. So he'd compromised by skipping the first night of Homecoming and showing up for the second.

After some handwavey phone calls to let folks know he was in town and where they could find him, he took a seat at The Perk with a cup of

Anakin was on his way to Ching Tai for dinner with Rory and Luke, but he couldn't walk past the hair, omg, the hair Angel without saying hello.

"Hello."

"Anakin," Angel replied. Because he could have deep conversations like that.

"It's good to see you."

Anakin was never afraid to state the obvious.

"How's your thing?" Angel asked, effectively summing up Anakin's entire Vader issue with a single pronoun.

"It's funny," Zero said after taking a sip of her latte, "I could swear I'd seen you somewhere recently. Oh wait."

"Insurance convention?" Angel suggested.

[swerval_zero]

Zero snapped her fingers, as one having an epiphany. "That must have been it. I spend so much time at insurance conventions." Then she said, "Seriously, though, if I visit you again I want to kill a demon or something. Ideally with an axe." Zero was a bloody-minded little thing, sometimes.

"Pretty sure we can find one," Angel said. "Maybe two."

Aeryn didn't think she'd ever been this social, but it was Angel, so she had to show. "No Sean?" she asked when she saw him at the table.

"Back in LA," Angel said. "We were in Neptune."

"And you couldn't make a side trip?" she asked, but she was smiling a little.

"Almost didn't make it here," Angel said. He figured Aeryn could figure out the dance-avoiding parts on her own.

Dick was tired from sleeping all day so he headed to the Perk for some coffee. When he got there he couldn't help but stare at Angel, thinking he was Seely. He also thought Seely needed to lay off the hair gel and get a damn tan.

Angel stared back at the guy because he could swear he looked familiar but he wasn't 100% sure yet.

"Why'd you do that to your hair?" Dick asked.

"Because it looks good?" Angel replied. Now the niggling thought was starting to annoy him. It was on the tip of his tongue, he could swear.

Bel walked into the Perk and immediately ran across the room and threw himself at Angel, resulting in them both rolling on the floor. Okay, he didn't exactly do that. But he did smile and say, "Hey."

"Hey," Angel said.

"Where were you last night?" Bel asked. "I was looking for you at the dance."

"Neptune, with Logan," Angel said. "And I don't dance."
