2nd Floor Common Room (evening)

Rory toddled out into the common room, curled up on the couch in her new pajamas and slippers she had gotten from Jake, and began randomly flipping through channels.

She finally settled on Amélie. She had the strange feeling that there should be a bear in the story, though she was really unsure why.

Sam poked her head in, then followed it with the rest of her. "Hey, Rory. How's your night going?"

"Pretty good," Rory nodded. "Yours?"

She sat down in one of the chairs, careful again because of the sunburn. "Okay. Spent the day reading."

She glanced over at the screen. "Is that a bear?"

"Is it?" Rory asked excitedly, frantically hitting the pause button. She sighed. "Nope. Just some random, large, hairy French guy."

She glanced over at Sam as she hit play again. "What did you read?"

Callisto wandered into the common room, since it was much more interesting than the one on the third floor. "Hey."

Sam waved from her spot on the chair, in no way trying to figure out what kind of information Kawalsky might have on the other girl. "Evening, Callisto. Heard you did a heck of a job on the radio last night."

"Evening Sam. It was fun, except for someone," Callisto did not glare at Rory. "Deciding to blab about certain things on air that she shouldn't have."

Rory arched a brow and attempted to look very innocent.

"Moi? I did nothing."

For a few minutes' change of pace, Anders wandered into the common room (but not before leaving a note for Cally this time) with a freshly-purchased batch of cupcakes in hand, and spotted Rory, Sam, and Callisto.

"Hey, guys. I bring sugary goodness."

"Cupcakes YAY!" Rory said, springing over the back of the couch and in no way fleeing over to Anders and out of Callisto's reach.

She just really liked cupcakes.

"Whoa!" Caught off guard, Anders was nearly bowled over by Rory in her headlong charge for the cupcakes. "Chill, Gilmore, there's plenty to go around!"

"Oh, I, um...just haven't had cupcakes in like, forever," Rory said, affecting a light tone. "Thanks, Anders."

Mystique looks in and perks up at the sight of cupcakes. She grabs one and settles into a chair.

Lockheed was going to bring the remaining cookies from downstairs when he smelled the cupcakes.

He felt that his sugar was unappreciated, so he just slid the tray into the common room and left in a wee dragon huff.
