Nathan was drawn to parties like a moth to a flame and it helped that Quinn was actually someone he liked well enough. So, after drinking mead and eating food, he wandered into the common room, prepared for a birthday party.

"Fuck, man, you could have put my eye out!" Nathan wasn't serious, of course, but having balls thrown at him was supposed to be a line he said to girls to make them laugh.
Puck had gotten Quinn a couple things. The first, wrapped in a larger box, had an untidily written note attached. So you can practice for next year.
The smaller box didn't have a note, though he did sign his name on the little card that went with it. He was just kind of hoping she liked it, honestly.
Caroline had done her very best to smuggle a gorgeous bottle of mead out of the party this afternoon. And then she'd wrapped it beautifully in glittery pink paper and ribbons fit for the occasion.
Nathan's gift was wrapped rather badly but what was inside would probably prove better. He also added a small plush gift which would give away who it was from, he hoped.

Or, you know, don't leave one but pretend you did when he wasn't looking!
