Karla was one of the few people that Cassidy wouldn't snap at and she tried to pull in her temper as she turned to look at her friend and fellow Queen.
"There are some horribly inconsiderate people on this island, Karla," Cassidy said, as if Karla wasn't aware of such a thing. "I mean, I know the question was about when we wouldn't sacrifice ourselves for somebody or something, but to just dismiss people you may not know as unimportant..." She was pulling weeds with a vengeance, but was now making sure she was careful where she tossed them. "Maybe I'm naive in thinking that it shouldn't matter if you know someone personally or not before you risk yourself for them."
Cassidy turned from where she had been making great progress of clearing out weeds while she was talking to Karla and saw the boy that was at the root of her annoyances today.

She sounded amused--after all, she's been in that same position often enough--but her eyes were concerned. "Everything okay?"

Ah, gardens. Nice and peaceful, perfect thing before meeting his...meeting Helen later that evening, just quiet plants and flying weeds--
He stopped short as flying vegetation appeared a short distance away. Ah. The girl from Ethics.
"Hello."

He could not judge her reaction; he kept his own face neutral.

"Gardening," she responded. "You?"
