Wesley walked over to the campfire without looking up from the book in his hands - oddly enough, the same book that had spent the weekend as a cranky older British man. When he finally looked up to choose a log to sit on, he saw Alex. "Oh, hello," he said. "Would you believe this isn't even the first time this week that I've come across someone smoking at the campfire?"

"Maybe," Alex said coyly, smirking up at her. "If you're nice to me, I might share them."

"What are you smoking?" was Katniss's greeting.

Where she was from, that was a reasonable question. Her father had been known to put different herbs in his pipe based on his mood.

"A cigarette," he said and glanced up at the unfamiliar girl. "Why? Want one?"

"What's in it?" she clarified. "Tobacco or something else?"

"Tobacco, yeah." And probably some other shit to make it a cigarette but he didn't know all that. "You want anything stronger, you're gonna have to wait a few days."
