Before all of the chaos breaks loose, do your thing. The usual supply of cookies and juice is available, because really, it's tradition by now, as well as pastries and doughnuts courtesy of Kennedy.

Gunn eyed the snack table with approval. It's a good thing today's exercise involved the whole fighting thing because they were going to need to work off all these carbs.

Firekeeper and Blind Seer still weren't the biggest fans of the Danger Shop; nothing smelled real here.

...Except the cookies. And juice. Which Firekeeper was going to partake of, obviously.

They're lean, they're mean, they have pointy things and are trying to take you down! No, they can't really harm you, thank goodness for the danger shop, but these little guys are far more skilled with a sword than one might expect from your average waterfowl. How do they hold that sword in their wings like that, anyhow?

Gunn had been stretching out a bit and taking a few practice swipes with his sword when the ducks appeared.

Ducks with swords that is.

"Aw, man. You're kidding me right?" Gunn grumbled as the ducks approached. "Ducks? Seriously?"

This duck just so happened to be a very serious duck. Serious enough, in fact, that it was advancing on Gunn with a waddle that meant business.

Did you ever dream that you'd see a mallard spin a katana in such a threatening manner, Gunn? Or, for that matter, charge at you with it?

Well, Zack, for one, wasn't facepalming. But that was mostly because he was too busy alternating between trying to feed bits of doughnut to a particularly threatening duck, and fending it off with his sword when it got a little too close for comfort.

... This method was actually working out surprisingly well for him.

Jak... also wasn't facepalming. He was a little bug-eyed, though, and wondering if this meant he'd actually be able to jump in and star firing just to make things interesting. Or something.

Kennedy wasn't facepalming either, but that could be chalked up to the fact that it was hard to facepalm and keep the ducks away from the food tables with a knife at the same time, all the while feeling vaguely guilty about the exercise because ducks.

How the hell were they holding those swords without opposable thumbs, anyway?
