Fifth floor common room [after workshops]

May 11, 2010 14:42

Inspired by her French class today, Rilla had slipped into her room to pick up her copy of a Victor Hugo novel (in English. Her French wasn't nearly that good) and curled up on a sofa in the common room with the book, an apple and a cup of tea (which tasted a bit stewed. Rilla wasn't used to make her own tea ( Read more... )

Leda had an impression ball in her hand, and was rocking out to music that only she could hear.

She'd figured out how to get music from the internet onto the ball. Someone might need to explain this whole piracy thing to her.

"Hi people." she waved.

Rilla's eyebrow arched up. "Hello."

"Either you're new or I somehow missed meeting you I think."

"I've only been here for a few days," Rilla replied, trying not to stare at the girl's ears.

Warren had been headed up to the roof, so that he could... Well, so that he could jump off of it, honestly. It wasn't as though he'd be falling very far before catching himself. But curiosity had caught him, too, and an itch to be social, and he hadn't actually made his way all the way up to the roof before he gave in and decided to make a common room pit-stop, to see if anything interesting was going on.

A few pretty girls, Warren decided, were always interesting.

"I'm not interrupting anything, am I?"

"Nothing that ith all that prething," she assured him.

Dammit. Another moment ruined.

... And that was just about the cutest thing any girl had ever done around him, right there. Warren was grinning as he made his way into the room, wings folded against his back.

"No? Well, is the book any good, at least?"

Her cheeks were crimson with mortification. "It's Les Miserables," she said, pronouncing it carefully. "Have you read it?"

Squall was still sticky from class, and carrying his jacket and gloves instead of wearing them. He wandered into the common room on his way back to his room, and... nearly left again. His roommate was here, and he didn't want to deal with her any more than he had to.

On the other hand, Rinoa was here, and he had seen FAR too little of her lately. He'd been deliberately trying not to stalk her, even.

So he hung back and leaned against the wall, watching people.

"That's a new look for you."

Oh, like he didn't expect her to tease him about it.

"The teacher has a strange idea of education," Squall replied. It wasn't HIS fault he was all gooey, after all. He didn't like it. He didn't like it one bit.

"My class today was weird, too," Rinoa said, "but we didn't get covered in goop. This place isn't what I was expecting."
