Second Floor Common Room/Blanket Fort - Sunday Night

Apr 26, 2010 13:24

The Second Floor Common Room was no more. The entire area was now a mish-mash of pillows, chairs, blankets and couches. King Edmund had a cardboard crown on his head. He surveyed his creation and nodded in satisfaction.

Now he just needed some subjects to rule! Or, more likely, someone to tell him where to shove his kingliness.

After Worf was... no longer rendered immobile by a tree, he had returned to the dorm to do careful patrols throughout the dorm and make sure that all was right.

When he saw the state of the common room he gave a might huff of attitude.

"This room is in a disarray," he declared. "I suggest you clean up now before I inform a parental figure."

"It is not," Edmund protested. "It's a castle. My castle. And I don't know if you noticed but there aren't any grown ups in here!"

"It's a pillow and blanket castle," Edmund explained. "Look. There's the entrance and there's the galley," there were snacks in there, "and there's the lookout tower. You have to use your imagination!"

Rose was still mad at Alex totally betraying her earlier, but she was way more bored and totally awake. Weetiny children who usually stay up all night didn't tend to go to bed at a reasonable time.

"It's a castle, technically," Edmund replied, looking very proud of himself. "I'm the king!"

She looked skeptical. "You're too little to be the king," she said. "And a fort's way cooler."

"It's mine and I have a crown to prove it! I'm the king and if you're good, I might let you come in."

A tiny, hyperactive blonde ran into the room. "HI! HI! HI!"

Jo still hadn't mastered use of the indoor voice.

"Hello," Edmund replied, a touch overwhelmed by the very loud voice. "Do you like my castle?"

"It's awesome!"

Jo was loud, but also easily impressed.

He looked very proud of himself. "Yes, it is. I built it all on my own. Do you want to have a look?"
