"This stuff sure goes on," Hayley remarked, settling into a chair with a puzzled look on her face, fuzzy bunny slippers on her feet, and a bag of Cheeto Puffs in her hand. "What is it tonight, ice dancing?"

"Skating," Aravis said distractedly, sparing the girl a glance before returning her gaze to the television. "I think that's what it's called. They're moving quickly on ice."

"Well, that's probably skating, yeah. But the dumb kind where they have to go as fast as possible. I like it better when they're doing tricks and stuff. I mean, it's nice and all, but it's not like it's a useful sport, right?" Hayley said, between munching Cheetos.

Aravis raised a brow at her. "The dancing bit? No, I don't think it's very useful. It's quite pretty -- though I dislike how...shiny the costumes seem to be -- but this," she nodded towards the television, "seems very useful indeed. Suppose you were fleeing something on ice!"
