To say that Aravis was fascinated by the Olympics would be gross understatement. Once she had sat down to watch, she had been unable to tear herself away for very long. The abundance of ice and snow held her interest well enough, and the grace the athletes had demontrated had only compounded this

"You're watching sports?" Ben asked, walking into the common room.

There was an unspoken, teasing "really?" at the end of that sentence.

"Snow," Aravis explained, pointing to the screen. "And look how quickly they move! And excuse you, I happen to enjoy certain sports."

Ben glanced at the skates. "Wait, those don't have engines? Astral."

[notqueenyet]

"Exactly!" Aravis said, grinning. "They move faster than Bree at a sprint, I think."

[momslilassassin]

"Do they have shoes that fit him?" Ben teased.

[notqueenyet]

"I think he would refuse to speak to me any longer at the very suggestion," Aravis laughed.

"Suggesting the whole outfit would be a completely bad idea, then, huh?" Ben replied.

"Then Cor wouldn't speak to us, either, out of solidarity," she decided.

"What if we got him a matching outfit?" Ben offered. "They could be a team sport!"

This was a very terrible plan.

"I know I'm quarreling with him, but did you want Cor to be cross with you, too?" Aravis asked curiously.

"I was going to order one for myself and thought they'd be cheaper in bulk," Ben lied cheerfully. "They look comfortable."

He flopped down next to her. "Are you still quarreling?"

"To quarrel, I would probably need to open his letters," Aravis replied thoughtfully. "So no."

"How large is the pile of letters now?" Ben asked, wincing.

[notqueenyet]

"Probably no larger than Cor's pile of women he's gone through in the absence of any commitment," Aravis said, not at all bitterly, really.

"Does he have a habit of doing that?" Ben replied.

[notqueenyet]

"...perhaps he has developed one." Truthfully, Aravis hadn't seen Cor show interest in any woman aside from herself. That was really more Corin's territory.
