...No, no it was not part of the demonstration. And judging by the look on Francine's face, Karla was extremely, miraculously lucky that Francine didn't have any powers worth writing home about. Especially fire-related ones.

Her tone was joking, but a little puzzled underneath. Tara had never seen Francine really angry.

Really, not many people had. She wasn't quite up to really angry even now. Just frustrated-irritated-glarey with a small side order of irrational Merlin-related territorial issues.

Hunh. Dinah tilted her head. She'd thought Karla loved Raven. And Merlin was still getting over the break-up with Francine.... Well, it was still sweet. Yay love! Yay!

"Mostly I got popcorn and just made sure people waited to do anything permanent." She paused. "Although I didn't manage to stop Priestly from trying to shoot Dean over all. But still! Delaying tactics are good." She beamed at all her friends. Friends who would be at her wedding!

And Merlin had only eyes for her as well. "I--how have you been?" He asked, sneaking girly glances at her every few seconds.

"I--missing you," Karla stammered, the truth forcing its way out her mouth. She flushed red and glanced away, but wasn't capable of not looking at Merlin for too long. "Though a little embarassed, too, since the last time you saw me, I was in a black leather catsuit and practically crawling all over you."

While the sentiment was true--in her right mind, Karla was mortified by that--she had deliberately brought up that memory. Someone was getting sneaky after an afternoon of professing her love.
