Third floor common room- Wednesday night

After a lot of work (some involving a showerhead, don't ask, and no not dirty) throughout the day, Jaina had decided she had to get out of her room for a while. So she'd just gone to the common room, made herself a sandwich, and started reading a report on her datapad with the TV on for noise

"...hey, Jaina? You're talking to the television," Rose remarked. She was looking for bread to make toast, and somehow there wasn't any at all in the 4th Floor CR. "It's not gonna talk back. I hope."

"I'm beginning to hope they can hear me through it instead," Jaina said. "You know there are apparently enough women that have kids without knowing they were ever pregnant that they made a series about it?"

"Like they don't notice?" Okay, this was more interesting than the need for bread, and Rose came over to flop onto a couch. "How do you not notice your stomach getting huge and a craving for pickles?"

"I have no idea. I guess some people only gain fifteen pounds and figure it's fifteen pounds, what's that got to do with all the other stuff that has to be going on," she decided.

Clark needed no reason to wander the staircase in search of entertainment. It was what people did, shh.

Spotting the look on the girl's face he paused before sitting down, "You okay?"

"I'm worried for humanity," Jaina answered, looking away from the TV. "Other than that, fine."

Well, that definitely warned Clark of a need to figure out what was on. He stared at the television for a minute before responding again.

"...you're watching a show about pregnancy?" Maybe she was pregnant! That would explain it.

"And I can't stop," she sighed. "The idiocy is hypnotizing. Watch yourself, I bet you'll be down here for the next episode too."

"Oh, hey Jaina," Hurley said, walking into the common room.

"...what are you watching?"

"Scary things, Hurley," Jaina replied. "Watch a minute, I want to see your reaction."

Hurley watched. And stared.

"...Why is this a thing? Who made this?"

"I wish I knew. I don't know who the person was who came up with this as an idea for a show, but I fear for them and their brain," Jaina said. Not that she was turning the channel.

"Good evening," Zayne told the room as he walked in. "What's..."

He stopped as he glanced at the TV. "How did they not know they were pregnant?"

"That's the mystery of the evening," said Jaina. "If you have any theories, feel free to shout 'em out."

"All I have is 'It was the will of the Force,'" Zayne said. "And they turned this into a TV show? Why? How?"

"And people willingly go on it!" she added. "They admit that they were this stupid on national television."

Kaylee was about to say something when she bounded in, and then she heard the television.

"...can that happen?" she asked, staring at the TV. "What if I'm growin' a baby an' I don't know?"

"Take a test," Jaina said. "Though from the sounds of it, that's too hard for some people to do."

"What if it's a hidden pregnancy?" Kaylee asked, deciding that was a thing now. "What if they all got secret babies growin' in 'em, an' that's why they don't know?"

Jaina looked over at her. "You think there's an epidemic of secret babies?"
