Fandom High had it's traditions. It had it's gremlins, weird lockers, zombie band, and shirtless students. It also had another, slightly less wide spread, but no less bizarre tradition. A very personal tradition, really

Jon had, for a few very wonderful hours, managed to forget about the weird. And then he wandered into the common room on his floor. He stared at the polar bear for a few minutes and then sat on the couch as far from the bear as he could get.

"You know, they really should put some of this stuff in the brochure."

"Pretty much Dutch. Haven't met any bullies yet anyway."

"After the picnic, I'll be surprised if there are bullies at this school."

"Yeah I don't think I met one person who'd put up with that shit."

She hadn't. She wondered what was in it. Possibly the same nonsense her mother had told her.

"Nope. But I'm pretty sure the polar bear wasn't in there."

"Maybe he was behind the text with his nose in the snow."

Oh, it was a horrible joke, but she was trying.
