3rd Floor Common Room, Thursday afternoon

Apr 23, 2009 12:59

Buffy had survived her last finals as a senior.

More importantly, she'd gone a whole year without getting kicked out of school.

This would be why she was making brownies (the regular kind, thank you) in the common room kitchen, with the TV on for background noise. This was something to be celebrated.

[Open, entertain me plz.]

Brownies were always something worth celebrating with. And good enough to draw people in for hopeful freebies.

"Hey!"

"Hey, Teddy," Buffy greeted him, resisting the urge to check to see how the brownies were doing again. "Going to help me with celebratory brownies?"

"I wouldn't object to that," Teddy ventured, closing his eyes as he smelled the air. He was going to missed baked goods.

Buffy had to smile. "You're not going to go into a chocolate coma on me at all, are you?"

Blair smelled chocolate. She peered into the common room. "We have a cook?"

"We have ridiculously easy instructions, so it's almost the same thing as being a cook, if you squint really hard," Buffy countered.

"That involves me doing work," Blair said. She liked to avoid that.

"You know they have the kind now where you just break the dough apart and stick it in the oven?" She was curious if that was work, too. "They're making huge leaps and bounds in the department of 'But I don't wanna' these days."

Zayne was done with his finals, didn't have to go back to Taris for another review for weeks, and lived near the common room so he was able to smell the brownies. And so he wandered in the direction of the food.

"Is somebody cooking?" he asked.

"Baking," Buffy corrected. "Like cooking, but way more fattening and therefore better."

"Not for somebody who's watching their weight," Zayne pointed out.

Buffy weighed like ninety-five pounds. "Still better, they just miss out. And they can live a little with one brownie anyway."
