3rd Floor Common Room, Thursday afternoon

Apr 23, 2009 12:59

Buffy had survived her last finals as a senior.

More importantly, she'd gone a whole year without getting kicked out of school.

This would be why she was making brownies (the regular kind, thank you) in the common room kitchen, with the TV on for background noise. This was something to be celebrated.

Brownies were always something worth celebrating with. And good enough to draw people in for hopeful freebies.

"Hey!"

"Hey, Teddy," Buffy greeted him, resisting the urge to check to see how the brownies were doing again. "Going to help me with celebratory brownies?"

"I wouldn't object to that," Teddy ventured, closing his eyes as he smelled the air. He was going to missed baked goods.

Buffy had to smile. "You're not going to go into a chocolate coma on me at all, are you?"

Well...

"Only if you let me eat the entire thing!"

"Which I can't do. See, the chocolate centers of my brain would revolt and put me into an anti-chocolate coma, and we can't have that." She just made that up right now.

Teddy wasn't about to laugh at that. Really now. "Is that a technical term for it?"

"Yes. Studies have been done. I practically live in the library, you know, I know things." All lies.

"Any known cure?"

"Chocolate. Lots of it. The good kind, too, and the best results come from the Swiss ind. True fact."

"I don't know if I could get you that in time," Teddy said, shaking his head sadly. "It's pretty far to go for chocolate."

"It's doable!" she said. "Don't let me die of anti-chocolate coma. It's a horrible way to go."

"But then I'd have the brownies all to myself..." This was turning out to be a decent plan!

"Oh, I see how it is. I know who I can trust now," she said, folding her arms.

"Like you wouldn't if the situation was reversed."

"I wouldn't! It might not be Swiss, but I'm not leaving a person hanging. It would make my chocolate not taste so good."
