"I am still Worf and I'm right here," he said not understanding her meaning. "There is food. Feel free to eat. Even if you are a possible spy."

"I went hunting," Worf said simply. "And I was hungry. Sharing food is not uncommon."

Romeo smelled ... something. Something delicious.

He left his alcove and walked into the living room, where he saw roast meat and pies. "What's all this?"

"Food," Worf said gruffly as if the answer was obvious. "Feel free to help yourself. The rokeg blood pie is excellent."

"But why are you cooking?" Romeo wondered, filling a plate anyhow with apple and cherry pie. "I generally pass on anything made of blood."

"I went hunting," Worf replied briskly. "I believe sharing food is not totally uncommon."

Jack...had smelled food. "Hello? Anyone there?" he called through the door.

"What do you want?" Worf snapped in the traditional not-so-friendly Klingon greeting.

"Food?" Jack asked, in the not-so-I'm-Your-New-Best-Friend greeting. "Something smells good."

There was a knock at the door, and a drooling Sokka peered in. "Please tell me that's not just for Dippies?"

Worf bit back a response and sighed/growled. "Come in. Eat."

Sokka burst through the door and hovered over the venison. "Dude! This is fresh-caught wild game! SWEET!!!"

He paused and turned to Worf. "I'm sorry I mocked your forehead. Can you find it in your heart to forgive me?"

"You are obviously pandering to me for food," Worf observed gruffly. "If you are just stop it and eat."

Alice was enticed by the smell into walking closer. She raised an eyebrow over the intricate feast laid out inside the cabin, and leaned against the open window, amused.

"To what do we owe the honor?"

It was a brusque invitation, but an invitation nonetheless, and the food smelled delightful. Perhaps the future wasn't as big on formality. She could understand that.

Alice walked into the living room and looked around. "Do you hunt often?" she asked. "No one in my cabin seems to bring back fresh kills."

"When the urge strikes," Worf admitted. "Today seemed like a good day to test my skills. Most humans don't seem to like hunting where I'm from."
