Second floor common room: Saturday Bed Time

The second floor common room looked more like nap time at a pre-school than the coolest common room in the dorms. That would be because there were blankets, pillows, the cushions from the couches and some foam pads set out around the room, forming comfy nests for wee tiny people to curl up in and sleep

It wasn't a true day unless you'd done a good bit of running from the baddies, eaten a banana, and crawled through some ventilation shafts.

Currently, the Doctor was doing that last bit.

And was currently attempting to undo the air vent in the common room from the inside, via the sonic screwdriver.

Jack wasn't sure what caught his attention, but he definitely heard something. Tracking it led him to the air vent, and peering through it he saw another wee tiny person. "Now how did you get in there?"

The sonic screwdriver popped the last of the screws fastening the vent, and it clattered open. "Fantastic!" the Doctor said. "Hi! Is this the Dalek lair?"

Jack ducked back, avoiding the falling vent. "Uh, no Daleks. Sorry." No. No way. It couldn't be. "Doctor?"

Emma was also still wearing her kitty ears, but they had been someone sqashed by now. She had found herself a cushion, a pillow and a blanket and was sitting up, waiting patiently for Jack to find her. He'd said he would.

Jack picked his way across the common room and knelt next to Emma. She had kitty ears, she was easy to find. "Hey, little kitty. You ready for bed?"

Emma yawned in response. "Ya-huh. Sleepy," she explained. Now that Jack was here, she could lie down, so she did so. She looked up at him with big blue eyes. "Blankie now?"

"I can do that." Jack shook out a blanket and draped it over her, tucking it carefully around her shoulders. "You going to sleep in your ears?" he asked, tugging very gently on one of them.

Lana peered into the quiet room curiously. "What's going on?" she asked quietly.

"There's many small people. They used to be big people." Jack may have looked a touch bewildered. "They're sleeping in the common room tonight."

"The students turned weetiny again?" Lana asked and glanced down at herself as if to make sure she hadn't changed as well.

"The adults this time. Teachers, at least," he explained, keeping his voice low. "It's...interesting."

Aiden, tired from all the action of the day, toddled into the nearest common room after all the bouncing with Benton.

There were pillows, and blankets. Lots of them.

She immediately flopped into a large pile, not really making any note of who might be in there already.

Jack made his way over to the newcomer and smiled down at her. "Do you need to be tucked in?"

Aiden craned her neck around to look at the big kid looming over her.

"Not supposed to get tuck-in from strangers," she declared.

Smiling as reassuringly as he knew how, he crouched next to her. "That's good advice. I'm Jack, and I'm a big kittie." He pointed at his ears. "If you tell me your name, we won't be strangers any more, and you can get tucked in if you want."

Suddenly a bundle of energy came at Jack again in a running tilt. "JAAACK!"

Jack bent down and scooped her up, spinning in a circle. "Hi, Rose," he said, touching her nose with his. "Have a good day?"

"Yeaaah! I went zoomin' 'round the Island and played with an ANGEL!"

"That sounds like fun," he told her. "And since I'm your big brother I have to ask if you were good."
