Second floor common room: Saturday Bed Time

The second floor common room looked more like nap time at a pre-school than the coolest common room in the dorms. That would be because there were blankets, pillows, the cushions from the couches and some foam pads set out around the room, forming comfy nests for wee tiny people to curl up in and sleep ( Read more... )

Emma was also still wearing her kitty ears, but they had been someone sqashed by now. She had found herself a cushion, a pillow and a blanket and was sitting up, waiting patiently for Jack to find her. He'd said he would.

Jack picked his way across the common room and knelt next to Emma. She had kitty ears, she was easy to find. "Hey, little kitty. You ready for bed?"

Emma yawned in response. "Ya-huh. Sleepy," she explained. Now that Jack was here, she could lie down, so she did so. She looked up at him with big blue eyes. "Blankie now?"

"I can do that." Jack shook out a blanket and draped it over her, tucking it carefully around her shoulders. "You going to sleep in your ears?" he asked, tugging very gently on one of them.

Jack may have melted, just a little. "Kitties need ears, and kitties need to sleep." He stroked a hand across her hair. "You sleep, and you can have kittie adventures in the morning."

"Mmmm," Emma agreed, and then she was out like a light, making little snuffly purr-y noises in her sleep.
