I used to buy the exact same pair of trainers every two years or so, whenever the shoes gave out. I finally wound up exchanging them for a pair of more expensive-ish leather ones, and those have lasted me since.

Yes, I only own about one pair of shoes.

Same here. I went from pennyloafers in middle school to clogs in high school and college to skips after college to said Croc/notcroc hybrids of love.

Oh, but there is my winterboots which are the most amazing thing ever. I have never had a more comfortable shoe and I was totally wearing them way after I should of just because of the comfy.

Mmmmm, winterboots. We used to go on vacation to Finland a lot, and you'd be lost there without a good set of warm, fuzzy winterboots.

And warm and fuzzy, they were!

I...like heels. In my defense, I'm 4'11'' and they help me see over counters. I have this pair of black sandals, that every time they wear out, I buy a brand new one, exactly like the old ones. My friends are in awe of me wearing the same sandals constantly for six years now...

I also have a pair of sneakers I do that with. Sketchers, two pairs, blue and silver and black. They're a very specific design. If they ever get discontinued? I will cry. Same thing, I replace them whenever they wear out.

I also am in love with my Faithful Converses. They're Converses with a black cat on them!

Oh, and those cute red pumps with the mesh and the bow, and the cream sandals with the chunky heel, and the black sandals with the six inch heels, and the short boots that I never get to wear since hello LA.

And sometimes? Plain old flip-flops. Of which I only have three pairs.

...I have 36 pairs of shoes. Not including slippers and flip-flops.

I have enough shoes for an army in various places. I actually wear only about two pairs a year. Two or three, depending on finding a nice pair of clogs. There's this thing about the back of my foot that's just too sensitive for most shoes.

I'm a size 6 with a high arch. If a shoe fits me? I buy it. Hence the sticking to the same shoes, over and over again. I also have brands I know I can wear because they're designed for unusual feet.

Most of my shoes spend 95% of their lives in a box, waiting for me to wear the perfect outfit for them.

When I'm around the house I like wearing slippers (because I'm lazy like that), otherwise I either like wearing my joggers (which tend to last me a while) or my ankle boots.

My shoe collection is not particularly very big.

My current pair (re: the ones I'm wearing now), which I've had for a couple of years now are close to being thrown out but I have to wait until I can afford a new pair. I noticed a huge difference in how my slippers looked after I wore them constantly because I only used to wear them at night. :)

Last year's Xmas gift from the hubby was slippers. When he saw how bad my old ones were (like a hole worn through the heels on both), Santa showed up with a new pair.

...why fluffy pink ones, I still don't know.

I am such a shoe ho (yes, I should be asleep, shhh.) I have somewhere between 45-55 pairs of shoes at the moment, and I'd say probably a third of them are heels, a third are sneakers/flats/slip-ons/Chucks, and the rest are flip-flops. See above with Alanna-mun and the height issue -- if I'm out somewhere, I'm usually wearing either heels or some chunky wedges, since I'm 4'10" and OKAY IT'S NOT MUCH BUT IT HELPS
