Student Art Fair, Friday afternoon, Dorms Front Lawn

Jun 16, 2006 02:29

Since it was set to be a nice day, the Art Fair was laid out on the front lawn of the dorms.

When people entered, they were greeted with a selection of tissue paper flowers in colorful - mainly blue - vases. Beyond that, there was a number of displays from the various participating classes.

The Student Art Fair was open.

Paper flowers from The Tick's Arts & Crafts workshop are here.

Gather and be merry while entering the fair.

Veronica found the Photography area easily enough. She was slightly nervous about what her students might have chosen to display and wondered if she should have made them get her approval first.

She hoped that no one displayed anything that might get her fired.

As promised, Archie met Veronica at the art fair, ready to provide whatever moral support might be needed.

"Lieutenant Kennedy reporting for duty," he said as he came up beside her and took her hand.

Hallelujah! The Student Art Fair! Sakurazaki can finally stop worrying about her lame project!

Although, admittedly, as she sets it up, she's glowing a little bit with pride. For thinking she didn't have any artistic ability what-so-ever, this didn't look too bad.

She sets up her three favourites of her attempts to make pulp-style samurai film posters:

Three Black Ships wasn't as impressive artisticly, but Sakurazaki was crazy about the historical significance.

Meanwhile, that samurai in Autumn Bridge looks awfully familiar.

But, personally, Sakurazaki thinks Cloud of Sparrows is the best one. Ninjas? could never go wrong.

She also wanted to include the one she had titled "The Head of Saigo Takamori," but was worried that Tick-sensei might disapprove of it's blood and violence, so she doesn't end up presenting it.

Tim smiled at the posters, but then looked closely at the Cloud of Sparrows one. Had she snuck a naked couple in that window?

Sakurazaki's head tilts as she looks at Ranma's project. "Is that...bamboo?"

Peter set up his poster featuring instructions on how to assist a badger in shock.

Badger or not, it was useful information.

Jaye passes by, glancing at the poster. "Looking at you probably put the badger into shock," she says, and walks on by.
