From the moment Eliot said Seoul, Kathy had been bouncing on her toes, with a quiet, but constant, "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" coming from her, like a teakettle about to boil over.

She could see her grandma! Okay, wait, no she couldn't. There was no way she could explain her presence in Korea right now. But she could show her friends around!

And food, oh god, she needed so much food. She was going to come home with bags and bags and bags of it.

Right before it was time for the portal, Kathy showed up, wearing a new hanbok and arms practically covered in bags. Rather than saying anything, Kathy just beamed at him, before bringing her hands together and performing a deep, sincere bow.

My cousin lived in Seoul for a year. Somehow, the only story he had to tell afterwards was about how his apartment's bathroom didn't have a shower stall and he couldn't figure out how to keep the door from getting wet and moldy.
