Gun Club

Parker is examining her newest purchases, and nobody gets to touch them. She'll slap your hand if you try.

Targets are set up-- with a specialty on gremlin silhouettes.

Have at it.

ETA: Best score on the Gremlin silhouettes gets a case of free ammo and a bottle of your choice of booze from Parker.

Kawalsky tossed a wave at Parker, grabbed his gear, set up and started shooting.

All that effort, all that training to get his expert marksmanship badge in the Air Force, and here he was taking pot shots at a silhouette of a gremlin on a school shooting range. How the mighty have fallen.

Parker waves back at him, chatting with Alanna, and starts the counter on his gallery.

From her position at the weapons table where she was loading her own gun, Sam waved when Charlie stopped to reload. Understanding his expression completely, she winked at him, then began shooting at her own target.

Charlie responded with a small smile, but she wouldn't have seen it since she was shooting already.

John signs in, gets his new toy, and loads it up with a huge shitcheese eating grin.

Oh, Gremlins, how I love to shoot thee so.

John fired the first clip, in under 3 seconds. Oh, this thing was sweet. Tight grouping, everything just to the left and low of center, well within what would be the first two rings and he hadn't even been aiming properly.

He swapped clips, and shot more slowly, trying to calibrate the aim, fiddling with the sights between every 3 shots.

Parker made a note of John's shooting, then came over when he had a break.

"Hey, do you think your mom would mind if we held the gun club off-campus next week? There's a place in town that I want to show to the newbies."

"Prob'ly not. Where are you thinking of?"

He examined the M6D as he waited for her response.

"There's a new place, Blood Gulch Arms. The owner seems to know a lot, and I was thinking that a trip to at least give people an idea of the costs of maintaining a weapon would be smart. Not to mention the paperwork. And I believe there's a shooting gallery at least, I have to check with Red and find out if that's okay in town too. Ours is kind of small, you might have noticed."

Aeryn walks in, still wondering exactly how to get a target that won't get incinerated with a pulse blast. Not that she really cares today. It's not like the shots have ever started a fire on the paper targets...

"Hey, Aeryn, I have something set up for you," Parker says, motioning Aeryn to gallery #5. "Metal targets, with teflon coating. Hopefully these will work and not completely disappear on you."

Aeryn follows her over. "We'll see how this goes," she says with a little smile, and a moment later is firing a shot into it.

((And I have no idea what effect that would have. Do you? *g*))

Parker winces, then smiles-- the shot raced around the target before finally burning out, and you could see the scorch mark where Aeryn's ammo hit. "Whew. I wasn't sure that was going to work."

[[are you kidding? I'm just the F/X. Talk to the weapons expert, if you can get him out of the bar.]]

*Wanders in, he's not a member of the club, but blowing up a few non-essential items sounded pretty good at this point*

Hey, is this a private gun club or can anyone wreck and destroy?

Parker walks over, hands on hips, and grins. "Wreck and destroy at will. Have you got a weapon, or do you need to use one of our 9mms? We're giving away a prize tonight for the high score."

I came in with a 9mm and P-90, but they were confiscated at the weapons round up.

High score, huh? Should I mention that I'm sharpshooter... or at least I was at 'home'?

"If they were confiscated, they should be in lock-up with your name on them here." Parker cocks an eyebrow. "Well then. Show me what you've got." This last is *almost* said completely innocently.

Mr. Canute... Fluffy... not asking. So not asking.

And the pin shooting sounds great, but I'll need to take a rain check. I need to head out in just a bit.
