Tyrion goggled at the students as he came into the classroom. He'd half expected most of them to have been either eaten by the great unknown or decamped to help out at home, if they had homes. He would have decamped to see what he could do at home, if the Causeway hadn't refused to route him anywhere but the parking lot of some horrible place

The frustrating thing was, Susan had some idea of what was going on at home. She just had no idea what to do about it. It was still making her mad.

So Claudia was here pretty much because she couldn't think of anything better to do, right now. It'd reached the point where she couldn't even reach Artie, by phone or by Farnsworth, which meant she wasn't even sure if the Warehouse still existed.

So she was here, slouched way down in her chair at the back of the class, doodling Tesla schematics in her notebook and trying not to think about things too hard.

Marshall was, admittedly, a little distracted by exactly what was going on at home. No one important seemed to be missing yet, but his last couple of calls had left Corinne wondering what, exactly, Marshall was on.

So if he looked like he wasn't entirely paying attention, that's because... he wasn't.
