Hey everyone! It's been a while... or never, for some of you. But anyway, I'm back! On the radio, that is, because I didn't go anywhere physically. Anyway, on to the news!
Camp! Which is like school but more likely to take place outdoors!
Today Xander took over for Constable Fraser in overseeing the
construction of the school. Hi, Xander! I'm waving but you totally can't see it.
Conner was there working away, still kind of grumbly about not having a red hardhat. Maybe you can borrow a fireman's hat, dude?
Willow apparently had the
same idea I did and brought Xander lunch. I promise I wasn't copying you or anything Willow! I'm not even in
John's class, where they were learning all about mimicry today! Oh, hey, dude, I know someone in that class. Hi Rikku! Anyway, everyone
reported on what teachers they annoyed last week. Eve
complimented Evie on her insult choices. Well, I suppose a clever insult is better than "you smell... cause you do!" so go Evie!
Sokka informed Evie that she's getting better. She wasn't sick, was she?
You'd think I'd have noticed that, living in the same cabin and all... okay, and then everyone paired up and
mimicked each other. I wonder if anyone mimicked the person mimicking them? Or mimicked the person mimicking them mimicking them? I think I said "mimicked" way too many times in that sentence.
Aly stopped by to argue that throwing a bomb at someone doesn't qualify as annoying. I agree. Bombs are usually more painful than annoying.
Okay! Moving on, in Ninjaing... am I allowed to report what's going on in Ninjaing? Does it make it less ninja-y if people know what happened? Okay, this squirrel is kind of glaring at me and tapping its foot, so I'm gonna say yes, I'm supposed to report on it. In
Ninjaing they learned about moving without sound. And then they attempted to practice this new skill by
sneaking in to Yondaime's house to find a scroll. A ninja scroll? Those are always cool.
Kabuto wasn't really sure that allowing students to try and sneak into Yondaime's house was a good idea, but Yondaime assured him that he'd taken precautions. Precautions are good. I wholly approve of precautions. Like lets say if you're gonna go wandering in the woods? DON'T. But more on that later.
History in Action discussed the Boston Tea Party. More specifically, what
the reasons behind the tea-dumping were. And then they dressed up as Native Americans and
snuck on to a ship to dump some tea themselves. Please, please tell me this was done in the Danger Shop and there wasn't actually an actual ship with tea on it? Because I'm not sure fish are equipped to deal with caffeine. Anyway, afterwards they
talked about how it went. Hopefully there was a lack of caffeinated fishes!
In
Women and Gender Studies, there was a lecture on human sexuality and then everyone
locked themselves in cabinets and tried to escape. I'm not sure what sexuality has to do with stage magic, but uh, there you go.
Interdisciplinary Studies went over First Aid, which is seriously always a useful topic in this school.
Ami and Setsuna passed notes in class. I'd frown but you wouldn't see it and besides I've been guilty of that more than once myself anyway.
Jim got detention, which resulted in him storming out of class. Or maybe he stormed out of class and that's what got him detention. The notes aren't real clear. Either way, there was detention and there was storming. And then Squall who was apparently the cause of storming and also shares a name with a kind of storm
answered some questions about first aid.
The
cafeteria was open and had... a lot of food that contains way too many vowels for me to attempt to pronounce, so I'll just say there was food. And there was also a
Sabriel and an
Annette, eating the food. Hopefully other people had food too, because skipping meals really isn't good for you. But if they did they're not in my notes.
And that's all for camp-related news today. And now on to the dorms!
Which are really less dormy and more cabiny at the moment
Shawn was playing guitar outside of Salamander, and he and Summer debated about whether they should tell anyone about the axe murderer in the woods. I think the "YES" in all-capitals and underlined several times should tell you the squirrel's opinion. There's also some names that aren't really suitable for public broadcasting, so I'm not going to repeat them here.
Karal spent the day out in the Preserve, but my notes say he was well out of there before nightfall, which is good because that's apparently when the frakking axe-murderer comes out.
Chad was hanging out in the
Basilisk living room when Teddy came by to yell at him for getting hurt. Yelling at people who get themselves hurt seems to be a popular reaction. Not that I'd know from my own experience or anything!
John Sheppard, who I haven't met, was making a list today! Did he check it twice? ...Did I just make a Santa Claus joke? I don't think I'm allowed to do that. Anyway, regardless of any list-checking that went on, he did check out the rather nasty bruise he got the other day from Turtle.
Ronan- hi, Ronan!- later came by and left a note for John. I'm glad you guys worked out the whole thing with the stuff. Oh, oh! And then later! Later John came back after going for pie with
Annette and found the note and then
Ronan found John and they talked for a while about their respective weeks.
Johnny, who is different from John because of the spelling, picked Charlie up for a movie date and warned her to stay away from the Preserve. I feel this is very, very good advice, and even people who are not Charlie should maybe think about following it, okay?
Isabel and Peter decided to go one step further than avoiding the Preserve and skipped hanging out in cabins altogether in favour of the Fourth Floor Common Room tonight. Also, there's a little drawing of a flag next to their names.
Alec was kind of having a crappy day so Dean gave him beer. Personally I favour hugs over alcohol but whatever floats your boat.
Billy talked about how he heard a sound. I personally hear many sounds! All the time. It's a thing. And Mel, well.
Mel burned stuff.
Officer Lion-Girl was packing the rest of her stuff and getting ready to leave today.
Hat-Girl stopped by and they discussed ant farms and summer plans, and Lion-Girl got a present. She also got a present from
Buffy, in the form of glitter. Go forth and spread boykissy to the outside world!
Constable Fraser stopped by to wish her luck and also get her sister's phone number.
She and Sam talked about shirtlessness, and she made sure Sam would continue to take off his shirt as often as possible. I'm sure Dawn approves of this.
Isabel stopped by too, and they discussed taking pictures of the guys doing the construction work and I am telling you right now that looking is okay but no touching when it comes to one of the people involved in that project in particular. Dean and Officer-Lion-Girl discuss kidnapping and staying in touch. Personally I think kidnapping is something of an extreme way to keep in touch with people, but your mileage may vary...
Rory also stopped by to say she's not allowed to leave because they've got a nunnery to start.
John and Officer-Lion-Girl indulged in name calling, but my notes assure me it's "not in a bad way".
D'Anna seemed to know that Officer-Lion-Girl was the culprit behind the glitterbombings of yesterday, and I suppose now everyone knows, actually.
Alec finally got his birthday present- dude, wasn't his birthday like weeks ago?- and is all cute at her and asks if she really needs to go. Unfortunately, the answer is yes. Good luck if you're actually listening to this and I hope you have fun or at least don't die of boredom or anything out there in the real world!
It's not the real world, but it's the closest we've got
Out in town today, the
Magic Box,
Cafe Fina,
Groovy Tunes,
Turtle and Canary,
Sparky Repairs and the
Photo Hut were all open. Also, the
Arms Hotel's new manager arrived today. Hi, new person! Welcome to Fandom. Don't hang out in the Preserve. At least not right now.
Today's
movie in the park was... something I'd never heard of. Which is kind of business as usual.
Ami and Setsuna were there, as were
Johnny and Charlie, and
Yondaime and Deadpool.
The
Trooper station is busy today, with
Hat-Girl,
Dale,
Shawn and Summer all stopping by to talk to the sheriff. I'm glad to see Shawn and Summer heeding the squirrels advice and going to talk to the sheriff! Good job!
Gavin had something labelled "
not a date" with Inara. The water was cold. And also wet! As water so often is. Robin was also at the beach today, and not on a date either. Instead he was
playing his banjo.
Aravis had tea at the Perk. Hi, Aravis!
John stopped by and proved that he is fully qualified to teach a class on annoying people, judging on how well he managed it with Aravis. And then
Rikku came by and she and Aravis talked about quote girl stuff unquote. The words quote and unquote were actually written out, there. I don't know what's up with that.
Deadpool was at the gym today.
Fraser and Deadpool exchange both blows and words, and Fraser got beat up while mocking Deadpool. I guess there are worse ways to go!
Aly came by and threw knives at him- Deadpool, not Fraser. And I guess Deadpool took this to mean she was giving them to him as a gift cause he kept them.
And then there was sword-fighting and mutal ass-kicking on the parts of
Deadpool and Kenpachi.
Yondaime came by to request Deadpool's help with something, and Deadpool agreed.
Rikku came by and was bouncy and showed off her hair which is AWESOME by the way! It's purple!
Turtle came by, shouted "MORTAL COMBAT", and then left. As you do.
Evie tried to annoy Deadpool and kinda succeeded! Go Evie!
Katara opened the post office.
Isabel came by and chatted about the glittercabin and Chad, and then picked up a package but it was actually for Jack.
Mel came by too, and she and Katara avoided the subject of her and Zuko for a while before Katara just came out and said something about a "Firelady" and hey, Mel, maybe you can convince Zuko that space really exists and that spaceships are real.
Hat-Girl was there as well, and told Katara that she was okay and all about what happened to her last night.
Aziraphale was sitting in the park today. He was visited by
Lucifer who talked about favourite places, and
Savannah who talked about Anders and Phoebe.
Annette and John had pie, but I don't think that was in the park. I like pie. Pie sounds good right about now... but I've got more notes. Lots more notes.
Book Haven was opened today by Millie.
Chris came in and told her all about why he was late. Then
Mac, Eve, Savannah and Summer all showed up too and there was research going on. Good. Let's figure out this thing and get it fixed.
Caritas was open, and Jarod was kinda mopey due to a certain someone leaving today. Understandably! That
certain someone stopped by, and
Anakin bought her drinks.
Isabel was there too, but didn't buy her drinks. Instead she talked about bowling with Jarod. Leo was also there and apparently satisfied with his situation. Well, more power to him then I guess!
The
Devil's Nest was also open and busy. Kabuto was definitely not pleased at someone's idea of reorganization, and so he re-re-organized everything!
Wilson was in the mood for drinking and smoking and I hope his lungs are in the mood for being all black and icky because that is what's going to happen
if you smoke. You're a doctor, shouldn't you know this?
Squall was drinking... a lot. And
Lucifer and Wilson played pool.
The
Clinic was open today, and very busy, as it was visited by Chris, Dale, Prue, Teddy, Wyatt, Billy, and me.
*faint sound of ominous sounding cello music*
Uh, okay, and now there's a squirrel playing a wee squirrel-sized cello.
Isabel was out in the woods by herself before Peter showed up and they left the woods. GOOD IDEA.
*cello music gets louder*
Billy was out alone as well and something- hey, piss off you cellist! They're not gonna be able to hear me if you play louder!- something went after him. And... the cello-playing squirrel is gone now. Good.
And last, but definitely not least,
Officer-Lion-Girl was waiting on the causeway for her ride. I feel it's only appropriate to end the broadcast on a night that's traditionally been hers for ages now with a mention of her so, goodbye and goodnight, Fandom!
