I wasn't clear on the criteria for many of the categories and thus was unable to nominate anyone in them. I had a hard time figuring out what to submit and all. Could you possibly make things a bit clearer next time, for those of us who seem to be a bit thick?

Firstly, I'm positive you are not thick! It was rather unclear and I will do my best to re-write some of the user-info and explain things more clearly.
Would it be ok to let you know when it's re-written so you can let me know if it's better? I really want to get it right for round 2.
Thanks for the feedback ^__^

Thank you, and yes I would be more than happy to look over the new User Info!

I wouldn't give the information on why someone was nominated, as it may revel the nominee, and I like it to be a surprise when I nominate someone.

I too was a bit unclear as to how to put in the information for nominating. I would've nominated, but could not always find the perfect post for consideration.

Good luck with round #2

What if we, instead of copying the words used, just posted key words/sites like:
"runs such and such community
supportive
great fanfic
always comments and gives feedback"

Would that work? Or maybe have a ticky box in the nomination form asking if it's ok to use your words?

Yeah, I guess it would be tough to find the right post unless it's recent. But idealy they are there to back up the words of the nominator..

Thank you ^___^ and thanks for the feedback!

Was the problem the nomination form or the explanation in the user-info?
I have revamped and updated the user-info, so hopefully that makes better sense now! ^___^

I thought the idea of this was very well received and really made some people's days (especially those who don't actually 'produce' something). So perhaps it would be nice to have some more catagories like "always there for me" or "fanfic supporter" or something similar (I'm crap at explaining aren't I LOL!!!)

I think the only other thing that was difficult was when the nomination form came up, there seemed to be information I wasn't expecting at first - so I didn't have a link or a website/email address and had to go back to find it.

Keep up the good work you two - I think it's lovely to have something so positive in the fandom(s).

It was recieved better than I thought! I'm so glad it worked out ok.
Definatly a 'supporter' kind of award is needed, I was having similar thoughts myself. 'Always there' is a nice idea too! They'll definatly be considered.

I've made a first attack at the user-info, maybe you could have a peek and let me know if the 'how to nominate' section is clear enough?

Thanks, we'll do our best ^___^

Yes that looks clear - but the only thing I was worried about was when people didn't have an email address to contact them with. So I wasn't sure whether people would be nominated if they didn't show one? I think they were in the end, but it was still a concern because I didn't want people to miss out if they hadn't listed an address...

Yey! Yes they were, but I checked user-info's and web site contact details and if I didn't find one, I posted on their LJ. I didn't want anyone to miss out either!
I did manage to get to everyone in the end! So I figure as long as some way to contact them is provided it's ok. It's better if it's private incase they reject the nom, but yeah, don't want them to miss out. ^__^
