Rolling her eyes this way and that, she can see that there are other people around her, too. Her eyebrows begin to draw together as she slowly sits up. The confusion barely budges on her features as her eyes shift about to take in the jungle before her. Pulling her sights closer, she glances around at the other men and women who are with her under…Well, a stone mushroom, apparently

Lindsey wakes up, but doesn't open his eyes right away. He's trying to remember the dream he was just having, but the fragments are already slipping away. Lorne, the empath demon had been in it, but that detail, along with a nagging left-over feeling of dread was pretty much all he has left of the dream

A wind blew up, casting the sand in a wall of fury and a maelstrom of noise. The wall, however, was exactly that, nothing flew outside of the construct and while it was visible from a long distance, it didn't enshroud anyone.
As quickly as the wind had blown up, it died after only a handful of minutes.
Left in the depression, being covered by the settling sand, a coffin-like structure had appeared. A brass plate was embedded in both ends, reading:
CRYOGENIC SUSPENSION CHAMBER SUBJECT: Marcus Cole Designation: Ranger Status: Deceased Comments: Indefinite Hold in the event of new resuscitation technology
REQUESTED BY: CMDR. S. IVANOVA
Any who brushed away the sand would find a young man, beared and long-haired, seemingly asleep in the capsule. A capsule, which despite the heat of the island was always chilled to the touch.
Romana woke with a gasp that seemed to go on forever. She filled her lungs like they'd not been filled before, then realised that they probably hadn't. Everything felt different. New, yet familiar... vague flickers of memory teased at her. The panic, the destruction... yes! Gallifrey was gone, and she'd... she'd...
Well, presumably she'd regenerated, but how she ended up here she had no idea. And her body felt so familiar. Her other senses told her it was a different time as well. The future or the past? She couldn't tell, but a different time.
Of course, the destruction of the Eye of Harmony could have done nearly anything. Instant death being the more likely option - but this didn't have any of the mythical trappings of death's realm.
Probably time to find out where here is, she thought, and opened her eyes. Immediately she saw that she was lying underneath something made of stone. She looked around and crawled out from underneath it, then stood in order to get a good look

When the others start to wake up, Peyton just stands there, watching them. By the way that first guy jumps to his feet, she’s assuming that he’s probably just as confused as she is as to the why’s and how’s of them being here. (That’s just…Great). Frowning again, she glances away from him briefly though when he talks she looks right back to him. “That’s funny…” She sighs, dropping her hands down to her sides again. “I was just getting ready to ask you the same thing…Guess it’s not really that funny…” She frowns again, and now her confusion is settling more towards worry than anything else. There are way too many questions that are starting to pop up in her mind, and she’s doing her best to just think of this as something good…Though that’s getting harder by the moment

"I'm Peyton!" a blond woman called back to Romana. Romana moved closer to her as the woman continued to talk. "Do you remember how you got here? What about you? Do you have any idea of where we are, or how we got here?"
"No idea," Romana said. "The last thing I remember..."
Fire. Death. Destruction.
"I don't want to remember that, but it was a long way from here. A very, very long way. I think I lost consciousness, but that was to be expected. I expected to die, but here I am..." She looked down at herself again, putting her hands in her pockets. "Although apparently I did regenerate, so I probably was pretty close to it

Marie pondered for a few seconds on whether she should go and check to make sure that was her "borrowed" grocery cart, but decided to check things out in the clearing first. If it was her cart, and merely waiting for her, it could wait a little while longer.
"I certainly was not here when I last had consciousness," she allowed. "I seem to be in one piece, however." She looked over at her companions... some conscious, some not. The clearing seemed harmless, if a bit strange with the mushroom-styled sculpture. She tried to decide between helping the people out and checking out the cart. The cart lost, and so she started looking around, noting which of the people around her were unconscious. Marie ducked under the "mushroom" and dragged a dark-haired woman out, hoping that she'd wake up before Marie had to do something more extensive, like check for injuries and shake her awake.
"So all of us just woke up here, without any memory of how we got here," Romana said, crouching beside the dark-haired woman Marie had pulled out from under the mushroom. She felt the woman's neck and temples. "I think she'll wake up soon," she said. "Much like we did, probably. Did you notice we were all laid out in a pattern around this thing? Like spokes of a wheel..."
She rose again and strode to peer into the trees, then looked up at the sky, frowning. "On the bright side, for you humans, we do seem to be on Earth. Looks like Earth, anyway." She bounced on her toes. "Feels like it too. Somewhere tropical. I was thinking I could do with a holiday."
