Lindsey wakes up, but doesn't open his eyes right away. He's trying to remember the dream he was just having, but the fragments are already slipping away. Lorne, the empath demon had been in it, but that detail, along with a nagging left-over feeling of dread was pretty much all he has left of the dream.
The first thing that grabs his attention is the relative hardness of whatever he's lying on. He jumps to his feet as soon as he opens his eyes, looking around warily. He's in what appears to be a jungle, with a bunch of people he doesn't know, most of whom are still asleep. Lindsey's seen enough horror movies (and real-life horror) to know that waking up in a strange place with a bunch of people one's never met doesn't tend to lead to anything good.
He probes his memory to find the last thing he remembers, frowning. Oddly, all the events of the past week - or, what he thinks of as the past week (who knows how long he's been asleep here) - have only been recorded by his memory as vague impressions and feelings. Just like the dream he was trying to remember.
The only other person there who's awake is a young woman standing with her arms folded across her stomach, looking at the rest of the group. Lindsey walks towards her slowly. It's possible, though not probable, that she or someone else here knows something about where here is, and why all these people are here sleeping under what looks like a giant mushroom made of rock.
"Hi?" he tries. "I know this is a long-shot, but you don't happen to know where we are, do you?"
