Joon awoke to heat, humidity, a throbbing headache, and a man swearing in Mandarin. She lie quietly with her eyes closed, listening. Svenningson had told her and the other "volunteers" the bare minimum: that they'd wake up in a tropical environment with the clothes on their backs, along with a few new test subjects. Security was something Danny knew. His ears perked, and he decided he'd make his move, finally. He sat up, signaling that he was in fact conscious and awake and aware.

His eyes scanned the area, taking in the position and stance of the people present. It didn't look good. He clambered to his feet, his 6'4" frame aching from laying on the ground so long. He stretched, his eyes ever vigilant.

Remy seemed, to the point where Miho explained, to be reasonably nonplussed, but at the 'explanation', he sat down again, near to where Danny's feet were. He glanced towards the prone man, and he shook his head, his hair falling once again into his eyes. "This isn't good... my superiors... this was supposed to be a negotiation that would have made my career... and I'm here?!" Once again, his voice rose, the strain beginning to creep into his tones.

"Did you see my shuttle anywhere. I'm sure I couldn't have crashed, but..." He left the words to hang and sighed, his head bowed. He fell silent for a few heartbeats before he took a deep breath, and as Danny began rousing himself, he, too, rose.

I'm retconning the following out of existence: "She quickly gathered the mental shields the DHARMA psychics had thrust upon her, which made her headache worse."

No shields are necessary thanks to Remy. :)
