It was like Lucas was sleeping. Except for the part where loud noises and shaking him wasn't going to wake him up.

As soon as it was light enough that Lana figured she wouldn't be jumping at every shadow and sound, she slipped down to the clinic to check on Lucas.

What? It wasn't like she'd been sleeping or anything.

And besides. She just needed to see for herself that he wasn't dead. Because despite the fact that this weekend had apparently all been nightmares, she still thought there was a lot of truth to what the voice had said.
