Millie was very sad to see so many people in the clinic after the events of the weekend. However, she was happy to have been able to help then and now.

Steve shuffled up to the front desk and said simply, "Hi, I'd like to check myself out."

Millie blinked at him. "But... you are still injured. Are you certain?"

"I'm sure, Miss," Steve said politely. "I've checked myself out on my own recognizance more than once in the past. I'll be fine. And I have a class to teach in a couple of hours."

It looked like the proper procedure here was to stop and ask about the person he was looking for. So, he stopped and asked, "Is Lois in one of the rooms?"
