Clinic Hours - Tuesday November 22nd 2005

The passage of air was LOUD today and Wilson moved very, very carefully in an attempt to keep the air as still as possible. He was late opening the Clinic not because he was late getting *to* the Clinic but because he was moving very slowly…in the hope of keeping the air really quiet

Rory steals a glance at Logan and nods after a second. "Mostly." She tilts her head curiously at the stuff in Angela's hands. "What'd you bring me?"

"I figured you were probably bored by now, so just fluffy stuff," Angela answers, noticing the glance to Logan but not sure she wants to ask. "This book called The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants that seems fluffy buit in the good way, and a mix CD. I wasn't sure exactly what you liked but this has, um, Blondie and R.E.M. and the Cowboy Junkies and a bunch of other stuff on it."

She hands the book and CD to Rory. "No coffee today, but Wilson made some, if you want."

"Cool!" Rory happily takes the book and CD, and begins flipping through the book. "Y'know, I heard really good things about this when it first came out. If they ever make a movie of it, I should so be in it. I think Lane read it and told me to. Thanks! And thanks for the CD, too. I loooove Blondie."

She looks out toward the waiting room. "Am I allowed to have coffee? They took me off the IV yesterday, so I'm assuming it's okay..."

"No problem," Angela says, happy that Rory seems to like the gifts. "I seriously would not be able to stand being stuck in bed this long without people bringing me music and stuff to read."

"I'll go ask Wilson about the coffee," she says, heading to do that. "You want it black, right?"

"If I'm allowed," Rory nods. "If I'm not, see if I can have it as long as it's diluted or whatever, please."

A moment later, Angela returns, bearing the largest mug she could find filled exactly halfway with Jamaican Blue Mountain. "Wilson said half a cup," she explains apologetically. "I obey the letter of the law, right?"

She sits in the chair at Rory's bedside. "SO are you going to be stuck here all week, or what?"

Rory gratefully takes the coffee. "Um, I think I get to leave tomorrow night. Not sure. I want to leave now, but I'd just end up in my own bed instead of this one."

"Yeah ... you definitely don't want to push it," Angela says. "At least you're out for Thanksgiving. Are you guys doing it at Luke's?"

"Probably?" Rory guesses. "I haven't talked to Mom or Luke about it. Are you going to go home?"

"Yeah," Angela says. "I thought I mentioned it, but I understand why you'd forget with -- everything," she gestures vaguely. "Marty gets to meet my dad, and I get to try and keep everyone from embarassing me too thoroughly. It should be thrilling."

She looks pretty happy, though. "We're taking a train out tomorrow morning."

Rory grins. "Is your sister going to be there? Because I don't think the whole 'not embarrassing you' thing is going to happen, then."

"I live in hope," Angela says, rolling her eyes. In a happy way.

She stretches her arms over her head. "Normal is going to seem so weird after this place, y'know? But good weird."

"I know what you mean," Rory says before taking a sip of her coffee. "When I was visiting my grandma, I went down to the basement and half expected to find a squid."

"You sure there wasn't one there?" Angela laughs. "I'll be happy with no gremlins myself."

She shrugs. "I should get to journalism. See you later, okay? And let me know if you like the mix. Or don't like it. Whatever."

When Angela stepped out, Logan gave Rory a kiss. "I'm gonna go to my room and sleep some more," he smiled.
