Lana slipped in and out of sleep, trying not to think about what might have happened and why she couldn't remember anything.

Sometime deep in the middle of the night, Lana began to stir uneasily.

The nightmares from her past mixed with images of gleaming surgical instruments, bright lights, excruciating pain, and sheer terror. She fought her way awake, screaming, only to find herself in a strange place with a needle in her.

She ripped it out, utterly terrified and still screaming, trying to figure out where she was and how she could escape

Dr. McNinja, roused by the screams, bolted with ninja speed into Exam Three. He leapt to the bed with ninja flourish, his coat flapping majestically behind him. "Woah, calm down. I'm here. Tell me what's bothering you." He put his hand on her shoulder reassuringly. The mask was probably less reassuring.
