He'll distract her good, don't worry so

I'm writing this in the train on my way back home after my second day of school. I had my first Spanish class! It was fun, although I had definitely forgotten that it takes like, actual work to learn a new language. The last time I tried that, was at least seven years ago when I started high school and learned French ( Read more... )

Learning a new language can be cool. Is Spanish easy to learn for you?

It seems good so far, but we've only gotten into the really basic stuff like the pronounciation of different letters and how to ask someone what their name it.
I picked up French pretty easily in high school so we'll see how this goes. :)

Haha. Ik denk niet dat een van onze professors zo'n shirt aandoet. lol.

Ugh at Dutch. I never really liked that either. But I hope it'll go alright and also the test for English. And learning languages is hard, but soooo interesting as well. Do you only have language classes or also other sorts of classes?

And I'm off to read your Supernatural thoughts.
I contemplated putting that meme up, but like so many on my flist, I feel that just re-posting that (a bit of a cruel meme as well) doesn't do much good, taking action does. So yeah. But I do adore that quote, because so true!

Dutch is going to be torture because it looks like it's going to be mostly spelling related exercises and those are so boring! I'll get through it though, it's only one hour a week.
On Tuesdays I only have language classes, but the other days I have classes like marketing and economy (two different kinds of economy even) and also computer science (informatica) and math (bedrijfsstatistiek, jakkie).

It wasn't until you said it, that I realized that yes, it can come across as a bit cruel, but since I do want to show my support and I don't run into situations to do that very often, I did re-post it. :)

Ohhh no, I hate spelling related things when it comes to Dutch. I often make stupid mistakes or I have Frisian in it. Ugh. I hope you survive though ;)

And you have quite a lot of classes then. Do you have classes every day? And long long days?

aha so I guess we're even! :) I chose math because I don't like to read a lot or write essays. If only I could major in making icons or something.... ;)
