Temperature-taking question

Hi everyone. I've just started charting (after having read the book) and once I have it down I'm hoping to use fam as my method of birth control. I have a possibly silly question though ( Read more... )

I have an 18-month-old who sleeps in bed with me and still nurses several times throughout the night, so I'd say on any given night I am waking up 4-5 times. However, because I'm pretty much just rolling over, situating myself for nursing, etc - I don't notice a problem with my temps.

If you do notice a lot of erratic temps, though, you may have to change something. But I would think you'll be fine! Good luck!

thanks for posting about this- I've been wondering, too. It is my first month and I've been waking up an hour early and then not even taking my temp because i thought it wouldn't be accurate. Plus It is kind of hard to get in the habit at first and any excuse to skip it will throw me!

Yea, that's true. And when I was reading about it I remember thinking, "that's the easiest thing in the world! All I have to do is take my temperature and test my cervical fluid everyday?" But everything seems like more of a pain in the ass when you're half awake. I guess it's just all about getting into the habit.
