Some people got brought into the group via the intro log, BUT that's not necessary. If didn't do that and you want your character to be involved already, say so and we'll work out a handwave-y thing.

I'd just like to start off the plotty plottings by asking if anyone's trying to use ~science~ to solve the food problem. I feel like it'd be pretty easy to connect EMP to the closing of (voluntary) travel in and out, but that knowledge doesn't help if it just won't open gdi and thus starving people. I figure everyone else is probably busy trying not to starve, but I wanted to throw that out there.

Not trying to solve the food issue per se, but I figured once the Doctor has a moment he's going to run some more scans on the borders. Now that they're not letting anybody out at all, there might be something there that could help them understand how to get out.

PLOTTING THREAD - June 6 - June 12

SO. Off we go. Geronimo, as they say.

-What is your character up to this week that would take place in the Science Cave and/or be relevant to Team Science's goals?

-Since this is our first plotting thread: what's your character been up to since the team first formed?

-This week's event is Attraction. Probably not overly relevant for Team Science, but if there's anything you can think of that would effect goings-on, go for it.

Bennett has probably mostly been occasionally lurking around occasionally. She's been busy with a whole lot of doll drama up at the CGM.

But this week she might stop by the Science Cave to avoid said drama. Maybe drag Topher along so he has something to do?

Topher

Topher is rudderless right now and just a little bit stir crazy. He's going to construct some device to help him track down where the Dollhouse chair is located in the mansion. Expect some drama to come from that.

He doesn't know about the Science team or cave but maybe he'll stumble upon it somehow. Had a talk with Rush which at least gave him some details of how the food shortage was caused. He possibly would get involved in trying to help solve the mystery of disrupted travel IF some people were openly talking about it.

Topher needs a job or at least some way to get some cash. Otherwise he's gonna be a bum at the mansion until further notice.

The Doctor / The Huon Project

Since the team formed, the Doctor would have been finding time to teach Scott (and Jack? anybody who wanted to know, actually) about Huon energy, and how they might go about building something that would detect the particles quickly across the city. Huon is the best chance (that they know of so far) for an energy source powerful enough to punch a hole in reality, but it's also not easily moved from one place to another - so they have to hope that they find a huge cache of it in one particular area

The Doctor

Yup, he's still sleeping in the lab, now more out of habit than trying to avoid his window. Might want to get on kicking him out, Nicki.

The Huon Project - it was decided that they should at least have the design for the scanner, yes? Which means we need to decide how it actually scans... and whether it starts being built this week, or if everyone is too busy with the border crisis. Speaking of...

There are a couple of posts now where team members can start discussing how to open up the border again. The Jack post showed up first, but how hilarious would it be if we all just stormed and took over Lance's post with technobabble?

Jack and the Doctor should TOTALLY come up with some hare-brained experiment that they just HAVE to test that (momentarily) kills Jack.

Thanks to Topher, the Doctor is thinking of experimenting with gamma ray blasts to open up the border again. Radiation = funtimes yes?

Scott remains conspicuously absent from Team Science this week. If anyone wants to notice/ask him about it, I'd be up for that~

The Doctor

I am fail-tagging this week, but I will have some computer time and will be willing to back-tag next week when I expect to be less fail.

The Doctor is. probably not sleeping in the lab anymore? Or if he does, it's not on the cot cause that's probably gone. But like he told Nicki, he doesn't need it. =3

He's got Sirius' wand and is modding it to try and attack the city's barrier; Ophelia has implied that ~**something will happen**~ when the magic/electricity combo hits it, so this should probably be a log. Possibly tomorrow or Friday.

Compulsion week(s) has also made him pretty ADD, so unless people are helping him, there's gonna be a few half-finished projects around the lab. The Huon Scanner is likely to be at least partially built by now? And one additional computer is.... almost completely updated.

I vote for Thursday! Eleven might have to hunt him down because he's being mopey, but he will definitely want in on that action.
