John tenses carefully, shoulders tight and pulled in. He blinks, rapid sweep of eyelashes grown dark and long under the stark, overhead lamp. His face has a stranger's angles, the grime of the last few days spent Underground unshaven on his cheeks, eyes made quite incredibly blue in his darkened features.

Sherlock is running on thirty-six hours without sleep or food and nothing but twelve nicotine patches in quick succession - he feels slightly giddy, fascinated like a child. He watches John's face for the sweetest flinch, the slight clench of his mouth, yes, that one, the soft drag of his tongue across his lips. Available data.

I rather adore Downton Abbey. I've just finished the first season, and will plunge right into the second tonight, thanks to kim47 upthread. /EXCITEMENT. Also:

android!Sherlock:

Mycroft created him in 1976, with wild surmises of intellectual perfection - he based himself upon literary legends, and he read too much Shelley for Sherlock's comfort. The technology was essential and confidential, but it only acted as a sounding board for Mycroft's twisted creation fantasies. The android!Sherlock sounds very intriguing (though I am guessing knowing a bit of what the Derringer Sky verse is about would probably help?). I hope you'd get around to posting it. And I see there's a reference on Mycroft using Shelley's book/idea to create Sherlock, and this only make what you've shown more enticing. :D

Aw thank you! ♥ I'm always impressed by how much you can... write, though, I suppose. With you it's not even quality vs. quantity because it's all quality.

I-I'm a little bit afraid of getting into the Sherlock fandom tbh, because I can't really... embrace this whole sweaters-and-jam thing going on. There are definitely several fics I like but with Sherlock, I also am a really big supporter of broship and aromantic-ace!Sherlock, rather than "Oh he and Watson just want to fuck look at how they're staring at each other" sort of thing, not to say that I actively disapprove of shipping, because a lot of shipping fics are beautiful, it's just I... yeah. (Th-though Sherlock/Moriarty is great and I approve shipping Holmes/Watson from the 2009 Sherlock Holmes movie...?)

The jumpers/jam thing is mostly on tumblr, I think - and it does take a while to get accustomed to, I suppose, but I've been in this fandom since about a month on from its inception, so I've had my shots - but the thing is, there have been quite a lot of excellent ace!Sherlock stories, whether he did end up in a purely romantic, non-sexual relationship with John, or they just remained the epic bros they already are. I can look some up for you, if you want? ah, yeah. I'm not saying your interpretation is wrong, you do understand, I don't think any interpretation is wrong by this point, because my view of Sherlock balances pretty equally between sexual and asexual, and I tend to write him as, uh, both (in different stories, I mean). I don't have a fixed interpretation of him, and I don't have a fixed interpretation of his relationship with John. I just. I just love them together, I guess, regardless of
