Shamelessly stolen from fuyu_no_fuhei: Posting the names of all the files in my Sherlock WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Choose one (or a few, I don't care), and I will post a random line or two.

In no particular order of completion, importance, or capitalization:

  • The Light Discontinued
  • Our Hugest Home
  • writer!john
  • Derringer Sky; android ( Read more... )

meme, fic, what am i doing here, reviewing and its lack of artistry, electronics hate my guts, fandom is a safe corner of my brain, writing;, what is this work you speak of, all of them, all my sobs, downton abbey, sherlock, sherlock bloody holmes

♥♥♥. :D Sadly, half the things I write remain unfinished, so that's that. But. Thank you. (And you're welcome, and never stop please.)

The jumpers/jam thing is mostly on tumblr, I think - and it does take a while to get accustomed to, I suppose, but I've been in this fandom since about a month on from its inception, so I've had my shots - but the thing is, there have been quite a lot of excellent ace!Sherlock stories, whether he did end up in a purely romantic, non-sexual relationship with John, or they just remained the epic bros they already are. I can look some up for you, if you want? ah, yeah. I'm not saying your interpretation is wrong, you do understand, I don't think any interpretation is wrong by this point, because my view of Sherlock balances pretty equally between sexual and asexual, and I tend to write him as, uh, both (in different stories, I mean). I don't have a fixed interpretation of him, and I don't have a fixed interpretation of his relationship with John. I just. I just love them together, I guess, regardless of what their relationship is - they adore each other, platonically or romantically, and that's pretty much the only thing that matters to me.

/speech.

I've noticed that tumblr mostly tends toward the "just fuck already" mentality, not that I blame it, and not that I particularly mind. XD

If you could find me any ace!Sherlock fics that you recommend -- don't work too hard because it's alright if you don't!! -- I'd appreciate it~ and I totally understand about interpretations of him going both ways. I suppose I... could start ficcing for Sherlock, though I don't really know any BBC Sherlock communities here?? (So basically what I'm saying is point me in the right direction and I'll fumble my way into this after a while.)

Anyway your speech was fine! And not really a rant. :D It totally makes sense. ♥

Also I don't know if you were ever part of the Inception fandom, but I got back into it for a little bit and found lovely ace!Eames fic and a few ace!Arthur fics and was entirely too happy. (If you want the links, I believe I can provide. XD)

I use tumblr mostly for graphics and art and gifs - and by use I mean browse, because I've never used my account for anything else than send asks to people. It's not the best platform for writing, but it is rather nice for pictures and discussions. It also goes very very fast, which is nice when I'm looking for a download link or something.

I shall look into recs rather thoroughly, but right now you can at least check out flawedamythyst's Horse and Carriage series, in which asexual!Sherlock and straight!John get married for practicality purposes - their relationship straddles the line between friendship and romantic entanglement all the time, and the effect's rather gorgeous. It's one of my favourites in this fandom, tbh.

Re: communities, the one nearly everbody uses, despite the fact that the mods aren't the ... well, aren't really the best, is sherlockbbc. Very nearly everything - fic, art, fanmixes, discussions - gets posted there. Then there's 221b-recs, which has most of the best stuff. We have holmesian_news, the newsletter with round-ups of everything that gets posted in all the Sherlock/Sherlock Holmes fandom very nearly every day. Then there are discussion-specific comms - you might be interested in asexy-sherlock - pairing comms, actor comms, updates comms. And the fic meme, of course. :D

I am partly into Inception fandom, so recs would be greatly appreciated! I dunno, I guess I'd be more into it if Sherlock wasn't around, but right now I'm perfectly happy with reading what people tell me is good. ♥
