Hi, you don't know me but I was browsing the Writer's Block answers and I saw yours and I had to comment because I agree 100% with this entry.

Let The Right One in was amazing. I will also never see Let Me In because there's no way it will ever stand up to the original. It's sad that people will REMAKE it as a sub-par copy just so they don't have to read subtitles.

PS- I totally thought I was the only english-speaking person in the world who'd seen this too :P

You're the first person I've come across who's seen it other than my sister! :D

And hear hear. It's just ridiculous. I felt sad when I heard they were going to re-make it, because why can't they just promote this amazing film instead? Why do they have to ruin it? :( Just blarg.

I may have to watch this film again over the weekend now, though. :)

It's like the American remake of Fawlty Towers. Why mess with perfection? And, I think that when films/TV series are remade for a different audience, it's often because the producers think we won't understand the original because of it's foreign cultural setting, which is ridiculous.

FAWLTY TOWERS! YES :D I'm like the only teenage American who knows what that is, cause my dad is into quirky things ^_^

But omgwtf, they remade that? Since WHEN? Why would you mess with the Cleese?

Hehe, I think I first found out about it by happening across it on PBS :) That show really is perfection!

Yeah, the American version was on a few years ago and starred John Laroquette. I watched the pilot and couldn't believe how bland and unfunny it was. Needless to say, it was pulled after a handful of eps. I should go hunting for some scenes on YT, just to see if it's as blah as I remember it to be :D

They remade it? I did not know of this either! Bloody hell. That's like someone trying to remake Blackadder (please don't tell me that's happened too). I may have to find YT clips, just to see. But woooah. o.0

Yes exactly! If that were the case, every American show imported across to here would be remade and changed and edited too. XD

I've heard of that movie! It's on Netflix Instant, I SO need to watch it. I'm dissapointed they're remaking it though. They'll probably make it like Twilight :(

Clash of The Titans should never have been remade, btw XD

Oooh you definately do :D And yeah, from what I've read of the re-make....it'll be like Twilight but with the girl being the vampire. Which makes me all >:(

And I thought that when I saw the adverts XD I'm not planning on seeing it. I mean, the original has -Maggie Smith- in it. You don't mess with that woman.
